Inaugural Session

The first regular session of the 15th Sangguniang Bayan of Nasipit was held this morning at 9:00 o'clock. We updated and adopted the new internal rules of procedure of the body. We then elected the Chairmen of the standing committees before proceeding to the barangay assignment of each member.

The chairmanship of the standing committees are as follows:

1. Steering, Rules and Privileges - Hon. Rodrigo Cuhit
2. Finance, Budget and Appropriation - Hon. Dick Victor Carmona
3. Women and Family - Hon. Josefina Dompor
4. Ways and Means - Hon. Hector Magtibay
5. Public Works and Infrastructure - Hon. Leonardo Beniga
6. Education and Culture - Hon. Josefina Dompor
7. Sports and Youth Development - Hon. Ivan Lexter Z. Baldomar
8. Health, Sanitation & Social Services - Hon. Hector Magtibay
9. Public Property - Hon. Custodio B. Compendio, Jr.
10. Agriculture - Hon. Leonardo Beniga

We also passed the Resolution authorizing the change of signatories on all the bank accounts of the municipality considering that we have a new Mayor and Vice Mayor.

The regular session of the Sangguniang Bayan will be every Thursday at 9:00 o'clock in the morning.

The inaugural session was adjourned at about 11:30 in the morning.
